Partnering with brands like Lorna Jane, Baby Bunting and Shaver Shop. preezie is changing the retail and eCommerce landscape one experience at a time. How you’ll make an impact

We are looking for a frontend tech lead who will drive our product and software initiatives, work with the product, customer success and sales teams to keep the company focused on customer outcomes and innovative technology.

Successful candidates will be excited in experimenting with new technology, thrive in a blank canvas environment and contribute to the formulation of an architecture vision for a new platform.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage a growing team of UI developers
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to development practices and coding standards
  • Contribute to the company knowledge base and process improvements
  • Work with product managers and UX designers to build amazing user experiences
  • Hiring new team members, building a strong and diverse tech team that focus on delivery and quality
  • Work with Head of Technology to bring new innovations and development platforms into the business where appropriate


  • Based in Melbourne or desire to relocate to Melbourne
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Empathetic, positive attitude and a genuine desire to help our team reach their goals

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in leading and growing a development team
  • Has proven experience in building scalable UI solutions in React and Typescript
  • Strong frontend architecture and development experience
  • Sound development practice, including unit testing, peer reviews, etc
  • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS (knowledge in CSS processors like SASS/SCSS/LESS is a bonus)
  • Knowledge in CI/CD and other developer tooling such as git, webpack, etc
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver well designed and tested applications
  • Team Player with good communication skills

Bonus points 😊:

  • Experience in micro frontend architecture and libraries such as Single-Spa
  • Experience with Material-UI and RxJS
  • Any experience with server side technologies such as .NET Core or NodeJS
  • Prior exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure
  • Experience in startups or similar businesses (SaaS)
